Things That Make Me a Cranky Girl

1. Pretty spring day outside that I can't enjoy because I have to practice.
2. Battles with IKEA people and German walls.
3. The fact I might be impaled in the dead of night by my curtain rod. It has a decorative spike at the end.

I take it your IKEA furniture still hasn't come?

You be careful at night and maybe you should take just a quick stroll outside, for something practice-essential like a coffee, as an excuse to enjoy that spring day!

things that make joe a sad boy:

1- paying money to a friend who then screws up your parts for your new band piece, creating more work for you

2- working on small projects where i am responsible for not only composing but preparing parts, pro tools session files, and travel expenses

3- demo-ing music for enormous companies and enormous projects who then refuse to pay for your time because you mean nothing to them and other composers are willing to do anything for free because most stink

4- not having enough time in the day to do this all and sleep!

:-)

we are in good company!

Joe- I don't know how you survive in the film score/LA music scene! But I do look forward to seeing your name in the credits!

lol..... it really is the trenches! i both love it beyond reason as well as hate it at the same time, and probably spend an inordinate amount of time trying to get the next job!

and about credits...... i have been so lucky getting work but ALL of it is uncredited!!!

i'll be @ MSM this weekend a bit, perhaps i'll catch you around..... enjoying your blog now that anyssa turned me onto it.

Joe- I'm glad you love it! I'm sure you can hear that in your work. I'm sure the credited work will come along before you know it.

Thanks for checking out my blog. I'll be at MSM on Fri night for the Jazz Phil, I'll keep my eye out for ya!

Anyssa- Thanks for letting this little conversation exist on your blog!!! :)

AND when that credited work appears and he's nominated for an Oscar, I'm going to be Joe's red-carpet date. I made him promise. Me for arm-candy. Right alongside Johnny Depp. Mmmm.
